Target audience

Target Audience - Crime films:

The main target audience for crime films is males between the age of 15-24. This is because these films are usually rated either 15 or 18. From our audience research, we found that our audience would be expecting action and clever writing to entice them into watching crime films. They also expected to see an authoritative figure, who would boss around the antagonists and his associates. So they were happy to hear that we had a character who met their requirements in 'Big Jon'. So we asked them to review 'Big Jon', our film, as well as the character. They said that our plot was interesting, and we had a good range of shots that are interesting to the audience. They said that 'Big Jon' was also interesting to the audience. They said that he made the plot interesting, and they liked the authority he casted over the other characters.

    A small minority of our audience will be female, so they fit into our secondary audience grouping.
